Welcome to the Eastern Region,  Region #6 of Magnificat

A Region Built on Visitations

Nearly every chapter in our region formed as a result of the “visit” of one woman to another. Bucks County, PA and Lima, OH were formed by women who had heard about Magnificat from an original founder at a Charismatic Conference. Pittsburgh, PA was formed after a serendipitous meeting at a local parish with an original founder on her way to a Charismatic Conference. Bergen County, NJ was formed through a television “visitation.” Huron, OH and Greensburg, PA chapters were formed after women visited other chapters and felt called to start one in their own areas. Stark County, OH was formed after a man suggested it to a woman who was looking for a Catholic woman’s fellowship. Learn more about these chapters by viewing the pages on this website!

Regional Team members Diane Dudenhoefer, Jackie France, Kay Burkot, and Susan Potvin are committed to serving the area chapters in the spirit of the Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth. The Regional Team ministry extends the work of the original founders of Magnificat: A Ministry to Catholic Women by building and maintaining spiritual connections from the Central Service Team to the chapters and between the chapters in the region. Prayer support and personal communication are maintained through regular “visitations” either face-to-face, over the phone or e-mail. Regional Retreats are offered every year to energize our fellowship and assure our growth in holiness by sharing in the fire of His love and presence.
